Brimage Law Group dedicates a substantial portion of our practice to issues we are passionate about. Every day we strive to make a difference for our clients as well as to actively support a variety of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
Whether we are serving as legal advocates or making a monetary donation to a worthy cause, Brimage is devoted to being an active and contributing member within Norfolk County.
Integrity & Value is part of our business culture... but it's also the cornerstone of Brimage Law.
Here at Brimage Law Group, we strive to do our part for the environment. As proud supporter and partner of the “Take back the Light” program, we are committed to the crucial but little known process to properly dispose and recycle fluorescent lighting.
Fluorescent lighting contains many harmful compounds and elements like mercury.
“Mercury is one of the most poisonous substances in the environment. It’s toxic at very low concentrations and can be harmful to fish, waterfowl, wildlife and humans. The improper disposal of fluorescent lamps results in hundreds of kilograms of mercury leaking into the environment contaminating water bodies [and other ecosystems]” - RCO
Brimage Law Group is happy to announce we'll be recycling 200 fluorescent lights in our first drop-off which equates to 1 gram of mercury, 1.37 kg of phosphorus and metals and 47 kg of glass properly disposed of or recycled. Brimage is just one of the 4 Norfolk organizations participating. If you'd like to learn more about Ontario recycling programs, check out www.rco.on.ca or www.takebackthelight.ca.
We are proud to receive our certificate of environmental accomplishment from shred-it. Our recycling efforts has saved 46.60 trees from destruction in 2014!
We are very proud of Sam White, Brimage Partner Tom White's son, who took home the trophy for the Uncle Sam's Senior Soap Box Derby at the Lynn River Music & Arts Festival! Proceeds of the event went to the Simcoe Rotary Club.
Brimage Law Group is proud to be CAN Certified to provide communication access for those with speech and language disabilities.
On January 29th, Team Brimage proudly participated in the Alzheimer Society's latest Walk for Memories fundraiser. The team came out to support our fellow Brimage Law Group partner and newest Alzheimer's Society of Haldimand Norfolk chairman Brett Kilian, as well as raise some money for a very worthy cause.
The Haldimand Norfolk Alzheimer Society, with the generous support of our excellent community, has earned nearly $30,000 this year.
We'd like to offer our congratluations to the organizers and senior executives, pictured below, for doing such an exceptional job this year.

Brimage is always thrilled to give back to the community, and the special needs community is no exception. There are a lot of factors and special considerations that must be made when planning an estate when it involves a special needs family member. To help teach people of these, Robert Fuller was a guest speaker at a special Community Advocates Tillsonburg (CAT) event held by Community Living Tillsonburg.
The event was well-attended and altogether successful. As usual, Robert was happy to offer his expertise to the attendees, offering tips that will help them ensure the care, support, and wellbeing of their special needs family members.
If you'd like to learn more about extra measures and considerations you can take to protect and provide for special needs members of your family, please feel free to contact us to arrange a meeting.
Robert Fuller, Brett Kilian, Richard Van Severen, and Tom White attended the Forget-Me-Not Alzheimer's Golf Tournament last week. We'd like to thank all our fellow sponsors for making this event such a great success, especially Scotiabank, the event's title sponsor (with us in the picture below). We're looking forward to next year's tournament!
